Life is Weird is a Life is Strange alternate universe for the musical Be More Chill. It was created around August 2017, and the main blog started in mid-September of that year.The main story follows protagonist Michael Mell deeper into the mysteries of Arcadia, New Jersey as he struggles with newfound time-travel abilities, and the burdens of being a real-life superhero. Along the way, he strengthens his friendships, makes new ones, and learns just how strong those friendships can be.The plotline following Michael Mell in 2017 is kind of considered Life is Weird "Season 1" behind the scenes, as there are plans for a couple other plotlines following the other characters as protagonists.Stormchaser(s) follows protagonists Jeremy Heere and Dustin Kropp (and possibly Christine Canigula) 3 years before LIW1 (aka 2014).Ripple Effect follows protagonist Rich Goranski pre-LIW1 (and possibly pre-Stormchaser).Chemistry is Brooke Lohst's backstory, which is "unlocked at Level 5 Friend" according to Brooke herself. This page is for the Vortex Club alternate timeline of LIW.The Vortex Club alternate timeline, also known shorthand as the Alt timeline, is a major alternate timeline in the Life is Weird universe.In trying to save Leah Heere from death, Michael splits a new timeline in which the consequences of his actions come in the form of Jeremy dying in a car accident a few years later. Prime Michael doesn't learn that this Jeremy has died until well into his headache, and it sends him further into a mental spiral. He has no idea how to get home, and has a very limited amount of time to even do so. Not to mention that here, he might be next on Dustin's killer's hitlist!Michael is low on sleep and stressed out, but maybe a familiar face will be the key he needs to unlock the door home. If only he could save this version of him as well...

This page is for the No Flowers alternate timeline of LIW."No Flowers" is a post-canon alternate timeline Michael jumps into when trying to piece himself back together. In this timeline, Jeremy Heere and Dustin Kropp actually leave Arcadia together, taking Christine Canigula with them. They travel south to Maryland in Jeremy's pickup truck, and get a small apartment together. Christine auditions for theatre roles in the area, Dustin applies for tech crew positions, and Jeremy leans more heavily into learning mechanics. He also writes songs on the side.

Neither Jeremy nor Dustin have any floral tattoos in this timeline. Instead of "matching" tattoos, they save the money to move out of Arcadia as soon as they can. Dustin still has his star neck tattoo, and Jeremy has his Pac-man arm tattoo. As for differing tattoos, Dustin also has two upwards-facing chevrons on his left middle finger, and Christine has a linework daisy on her inner left wrist.^(Pending) Jeremy gets more into mechanics, enough to keep his truck running until the time they can get a new vehicle and then some. He finds it helps get his frustrations out, and that combined with Dustin and Christine helped him be more open with his emotions and feelings.

Darcy Hook (DAHR-see hʊk) is a main character in the HRS universe. She is a retail worker who, in her own free time, writes fiction (both original fiction and fanfiction). She is well known in certain online circles for her fanfiction, under the online handle "captainshonour".

Darcy is a redhead, with her hair fading closer to strawberry blonde near the ends. She has deep, desaturated blue eyes and average skin (white). She tends to wear a lot of pink, usually in shirts or sweaters. She has "resting bitch face", which some customers people claim makes her "unapproachable". She's just tired of peoples' shit, is all.Darcy usually wears her hair down, with side-parted bangs. Sometimes she'll put her hair up into a high ponytail, like she used to as a teen. When she was a younger child, she would wear 2 low ponytails.

Fiona is a bartender-turned-Pokémon trainer, who picked up Pokémon by accident every time (a spider in her attic, a lonely dog in the streets, a scruffy cat dragged in by her dog, etc). She's an adult, probably over 30.She's been interested in food service and running her own bar since she was younger, and with help from her brother has achieved that goal.

Fiona found the spider living in the crevices of her bar, decided it wasn't doing any harm, and kept it. Now it loves her. Joltik helps keep non-regular patrons in check by unnerving them (due to being a small, brightly-coloured spider in the Wild West).

Fiona found the Rockruff wandering around the outskirts of her town alone, probably fed it once or twice and it followed her home. Now it's attached to her and the bar. Lycanroc helps keep rowdy patrons at bay; it growls and side-eyes people but will never bite a human unless they really deserve it.

Jeremy Heere is a major character in the Life is Weird/Be More Strange universe. He was Michael Mell's best friend before he moved to New York and left Jeremy behind in their hometown of Arcadia, New Jersey. During the plot of Life is Weird, the two rekindle their friendship, which is a driving plot point throughout the story. Jeremy's death may be the catalyst to unlocking Michael's powers.As we find out in the prequel story Before the Storm ^(p), Jeremy became best friends with Dustin Kropp before Dustin went missing. He and Dustin are the main characters in this sidestory.Jeremy is the son of Leah and Peter Heere, and the stepson of Beth Madsen.

He was married to Leah Simonson until her untimely passing in September 2012.We find out in the prequel story Before the Storm ^(p) that he meets Beth Madsen some time after Leah's death, and hits it off with her. A few years later, they get married, something his son Jeremy disapproves of.

Up until Michael reveals his dimensional origins, this Jeremy thinks that this Michael is the one he lost touch with back in 2012, and treats him as such. He still holds a grudge on him for leaving and never reconnecting for 7 years, but Christine helps him by mentioning how haunted Michael seems sometimes.When Michael reveals that he's from another timeline, and jumped here following Jeremy's happiness, this Jeremy doesn't know how to feel. He'd been projecting his anger and frustration towards his Michael onto one who hadn't been deserving of all of it, and he starts to feel bad. He recognises Christine's attempts to help as her probably reading this Michael's thoughts about the situation.
